Black Eye Peas and Jurassic 5

Last night I saw Core Project, a pretty good trip-hop band, some band I didn’t like and didn’t even get the name of, and then the Black Eyed Peas and Jurassic 5! The show was a repeat of an outdoor show done last spring that got rained out! Everyone was terribly disappointed last spring, so this was the second try. The weather had been great all week long, but it started to get a little cloudy the day of the show, and people got nervous. Just before the Black Eyed Peas came on, the rain started to come down. However, having been thwarted once, they were not going to be driven off stage by the rain again.

This time the sound engineers had rainproofed everything, and the Black Eyed Peas let everyone know that they didn’t give a fuck about the rain, and everyone agreed. So we got terribly wet, but it was very worth it. The rain continued through the Black Eyed Peas and through the first 3/4s of Jurassic 5’s set. It stopped just before Jurassic 5 finished, as though the rain was only trying to ruin the show.

    I have heard Elephunk is indeed already out! Yet it has not been released everywhere. A few Canadian sites will soon have it for sale. It’s very distinct from their first couple of albums, almost a dark edge to it. I’m sure this will be the best BEP LP ever.

    I assure you, elephunk has not been released. It was set for release a couple months ago (October I think), but then was pulled. No word since.

    Just so you all know, this is my website, and I’m not the Black Eyed Peas. I wish I was, but I’m not. I’m just a guy who went to see them once, about a year ago. It was a sweet show, but I don’t know anything more about them than that.

    Its cool if you all discuss them here, just don’t get mistaken and think this is an official black eyed peas website or something. ;)
